Travel guide: Stevenage

28 February 2018

We travel to Hertfordshire on Saturday to take on Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium, a venue with a capacity of 6,722, including 3,142 seats.

For those wishing to drive to the fixture, the postcode is: SG2 8RH. The 119-mile journey will take approximately two-and-a-half hours to drive from One Call Stadium.

Free matchday parking for 500 cars is available at Fairlands Valley car park to the north of the ground. This is clearly signposted as you enter Stevenage from Junction 7 of the A1(M).

Please note that fans are prohibited from parking in the nearby retail parks due to parking restrictions, which could result in fines being issued. Any fans parking in nearby residential streets are asked to park considerately and not to block driveways or inconvenience local residents.

Additional parking is also available in one of several town centre pay & display car parks.

The train journey will take around two-and-a-half hours from Mansfield station and requires changes at Nottingham and Peterborough. Once at Stevenage station, supporters will be required to walk for around 20 minutes to the ground via Lytton Way.

The Stags Supporters’ Association will be providing family-friendly coach travel to Stevenage.

The bus will depart One Call Stadium at 10am and prices are as follows:
Amber/junior members: £15
Blue members: £20
Non-members: £25

To book your place on the coach, please call the SSA’s booking hotline on 07967 689597.

For supporters wishing to enjoy a pre-match drink at The Lamex Stadium, the Club House Bar is located in the South Stand next to the away turnstiles. Both home and away supporters will be welcomed into the venue.

There are no other bars within a 15-minute walk of the Lamex and the next closest is Our Mutual Friend pub on Broadwater Crescent, which is around a 20-minute walk.
