Loanees hit by adverse weather

Read the latest on Stags’ 13 players who are currently out on loan…

Lewis Collins (North Ferriby)

Midfielder Lewis Collins made an instant impact for new loan club North Ferriby United at the weekend as he scored the only goal of the game in their 1-0 win over Bradford PA. The victory was only Ferriby's second of the season and came courtesy of Collins' superb solo effort after 19 minutes against promotion-chasing Bradford.

George Taft (Cambridge United)

Centre-back George Taft played a full 90 minutes for Cambridge United on Saturday as their four-game unbeaten run came to an end against Stags’ high-flying promotion rivals Accrington Stanley. It was the tenth time in 12 games that Taft has completed 90 minutes for the U’s since moving south for his loan move at the managerless club.

Jack Thomas (Tamworth)

Young midfielder Jack Thomas has still made just the two appearances for Tamworth after their match against Salford City on Saturday was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Calum Butcher (Billericay Town)

Midfielder Calum Butcher featured in Billericay Town’s three most recent matches which all took place over the past week. Last Wednesday, Ricay lost 2-1 away to Folkstone Invicta in the Isthmian League Premier Division, and this was followed by a 5-2 home defeat to Wealdstone in the FA Trophy quarter-finals. The midfielder came on as a second-half substitute in the Essex club’s midweek game before completing 90 minutes in their cup exit which saw owner Glenn Tamplin step down as manager of the club. Butcher also started last night’s game at Wingate & Finchley, however the match was abandoned after 20 minutes due to a frozen pitch.

Sam Wilson (Corby Town)

Goalkeeper Sam Wilson, who is on a season-long loan with Corby Town, helped his side beat Stocksbridge Park Steels 3-2 away from home on Saturday. Despite failing to keep a clean sheet, the youngster made a number of good saves, particularly in the first half.

Teddy Bloor (Frickley Athletic)

Right-back Teddy Bloor was an unused substitute in Frickley Athletic’s 3-2 defeat away to Bedworth United in the Evo-Stik League First Division South on Saturday.

Kieran Harrison (Belper Town)

Centre-half Kieran Harrison played 90 minutes in Belper Town’s heavy 4-1 away defeat to Nottingham-based side Carlton Town on Saturday. It was the 18-year old’s eleventh consecutive full game for the Nailers.

Louis Danquah (Carlton Town)

Left-back Louis Danquah was an unused substitute in Carlton Town’s 4-1 home win over Belper Town in the Evo-Stik League First Division South. The former Nottingham Forest youngster has still only made one appearance for the Nottingham-based side following the postponement of their two matches immediately after the 18-year old signed for the club.

Tyler Blake (Frickley Athletic)

Frontman Tyler Blake’s Frickley Athletic have suffered a stuttering run of form of late, going three matches winless after a nine-game winning run. That run was extended to four matches in a 3-2 defeat away to Bedworth United on Saturday. In what was a huge six-pointer at the top end of the Evo-Stik League First Division South, Bedworth edged the five-goal thriller despite Frickley being 2-0 up with 25 minutes to play. With the scores level with 18 minutes to go, striker Blake was brought on to find a winner for his loan club, however the former Nottingham Forest youngster was unable to do so.

Alistair Smith (Loughborough Dynamo)

Midfielder Alistair Smith started in Loughborough Dynamo’s 2-1 defeat at home to Chasetown and completed the game. Dynamo lost Saturday’s game to an injury-time winner for the away side.

Jordan Graham (Hednesford Town)

With four goals and two assists in his last five games, it is no surprise that Jordan Graham started for Hednesford Town in their Evo-Stik Northern Premier League match at home to Warrington Town on Saturday. Unfortunately for the 19-year old, he and the Pitmen couldn’t get on the scoresheet as his side fell to a 2-0 defeat in what was only their second loss in 14 games.

Jason Law (Hednesford Town)

Forward Jason Law was an unused substitute in Hednesford Town’s 2-0 home defeat by Warrington Town in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League match.

Zayn Hakeem (Grantham Town)

Striker Zayn Hakeem’s promotion-chasing Grantham Town weren’t in action for the third time in four games yesterday evening after the ‘Beast from the East’ got the better of the Gingerbreads’ clash with second-placed Warrington in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League. The frontman did get on the pitch for the final 20 minutes of the game that managed to beat the weather on Saturday, however Grantham’s trip to Nantwich Town ended in a disappointing 3-1 defeat.
