Stags' fans can now commemorate the finest moment in the club's history by purchasing a limited edition print of the famous squad which won the Division Three title in 1976/77.
Then-manager Peter Morris' side won Division Three - elevating the Stags to the second tier of English football for the only time in the club's history.
Local artist Antonio Bosano has now produced 500 limited edition prints of the team photograph from that memorable season, which can be purchased for just £20 from our club shop on Quarry Lane.
Mr Bosano, who has a portfolio of exceptional artwork including portraits of celebrities, sportspeople and historical figures, has detailed the intricate process which was involved as he recreated the photograph.
"My approach to a project like this is somewhat different to my normal line of artwork which involves individual portraits, encompassing head and shoulders shots," Bosano said.
"For this particular photograph, I had to use a grid system which involves horizontal and vertical lines to ensure that all the initial head and shoulder shots are in exact proportion once I enlarged the photograph.
"One will appreciate that the actual faces themselves are specifically much, much smaller than I'm accustomed to drawing, so therefore I utilised the grid system to do the initial layout of the team members.
"I then cross-referenced with a magnifying glass to make sure I was continuing to catch the appropriate likenesses.
"Acquired skills in any form of work invariably come with repetition but in this particular instance, I found the thought of this prospect particularly challenging."
The 1976/77 title-winning campaign is widely-regarded as the best in the club's history and Bosano, who has created 500 individually numbered prints, believes this is the perfect keepsake for any Stags' fan.
"This print will commemorate the finest moment in the history of the club when they won the third division title and were then promoted to what would now be the second tier of English football.
"The prints are available in limited edition form. There will be 500 individually numbered prints and it's a wonderful keepsake for Stags' fans to remember a glorious moment in the club's history."
