Match preview: Stevenage vs Stags

21 December 2018

Stags will face Stevenage away on Saturday for our next Sky Bet League Two fixture (3pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

Stags will be without the duo of Alex MacDonald and David Mirfin, as the pair continue their recoveries from knee injuries.

Striker Craig Davies will also miss the game because of an ankle injury.

Goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik will be absent, after he was ruled out for the season with an anterior cruciate ligament rupture last week.

Stevenage have a clean bill of health going into Saturday's clash.

Stags' last match, against Forest Green Rovers, was abandoned at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch. In the previous fixture, we ran out 2-0 winners over local rivals Notts County at One Call Stadium thanks to a CJ Hamilton goal in either half of the game.

Stevenage drew their last fixture 1-1 away to Northampton. The Boro have won just once in their last five games, yet it came against high-flying MK Dons in a 3-2 win.

STAGS' LAST FIVE GAMES: 2W | 1D | 2L

STEVENAGE'S LAST FIVE GAMES: 1W | 1D | 3L

We last faced Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium in April of last season, in a 1-1 draw. Will Atkinson scored the equalising goal for Mansfield.

The referee for Saturday's match will be Dean Whitestone, assisted by Isaac Searle and Paul Graham. The fourth official will be Carl Fitch-Jackson.

Stags have received 400 tickets for the clash.

Full ticket information can be found here.

There is no parking at the ground, but there is free parking available at Fairlands Valley car park (signposted). Otherwise either street parking or town centre (15 minute walk) parking is available.
