Match preview: Forest Green Rovers vs Stags

15 December 2018

Stags make the trip to face Forest Green Rovers on Saturday for their next fixture in Sky Bet League Two (3pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

We announced with immeasurable disappointment yesterday that in-form goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik has been ruled out for the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament rupture. New goalkeeper Jake Kean may therefore be in the squad.

The duo of Alex MacDonald and David Mirfin will also miss Saturday's clash, as the pair continue their recoveries from knee injuries.

Forest Green will be without former Stags' midfielder Paul Digby after he was sent off in Rovers' 2-1 win over Yeovil Town last Saturday.

Stags extended their unbeaten streak in Sky Bet League Two to 13 games last week with a 2-0 victory over local rivals Notts County. Winger CJ Hamilton, who has been in fine form of late, scored both goals in the match.

Forest Green won in dramatic fashion in their last fixture, scoring two injury-time goals against Yeovil to win 2-1. Rovers find themselves in eighth place heading into Saturday's match.

The referee for Saturday's game will be James Linington, assisted by Ian Cooper and John Flynn. The fourth official will be Andrew Fox.

Mr. Linington last took charge of a Mansfield fixture in our 2-2 draw away to Oxford in February 2016.

Stags have received an allocation of 604 tickets for the clash.

Full ticket information can be found here.
