Reserves Preview: Stags vs Hartlepool reserves

5 April 2018

Stags’ reserves take on Hartlepool reserves today (2.00pm kick-off), following their 5-2 victory over Rotherham reserves on Tuesday.

Ricky Miller scored a hat-trick in the emphatic win, as the Stags finished the game strongly despite Rotherham equalising twice.

Paul Anderson gave Stags the lead going into half-time, and a late strike from Jason Law wrapped up a comfortable victory for the home side.

Lewis Gibbens was sent off in the match, and will therefore miss out against Hartlepool through suspension.

A strong squad was called up for the game on Tuesday, but today’s team is expected to be much more youthful.

Law and Alistair Smith are expected to be included in the squad, having both featured off the bench in Tuesday’s win.

Today’s clash was originally meant to take place at Rainworth, but has since been moved to Brooksby Melton College due to a waterlogged pitch.

Stags stand nine points above today’s opponents in the Central League North B table.

The squad for the game is likely to be: Sundby, Walker, Harrison, Wilder, Healey, Law, George, Smith, Jackson, Dumbleton, Hakeem, Mars, Johnson, Cashmore, Tague, Sinclair.

Our Twitter account will be posting half-time and full-time updates of the game, and can be found at twitter.com/mansfieldtownfc.
