Mansfield Town midfielder Jack Thomas has joined National League North outfit Boston United on loan for a month in a bid to gain match minutes at senior level.
The 21-year-old has found his first team opportunities limited at the One Call Stadium this season following a number of outstanding player signings in the summer transfer window.
Thomas, who hails from Mansfield Woodhouse, will again work under ex-Mansfield manager Adam Murray at the Jakemans Stadium.
Stags' boss Steve Evans told www.mansfieldtown.net this evening: "Jack is a young man who I really believe has a future here.
"He is going to a good club, without doubt the biggest in their league and he is going to get some football under a manager he knows well.
"We wanted him to get much needed game time towards the end of last season [at Barrow] but he was let down versus what was told him.
"Jack is a local lad. He is a great lad and we want him to excel and come back here to really fight for a shirt."
