Sold out: A sportsman's evening with Bryan Robson

5 September 2017

Tickets for A Sportsman's Evening with former Manchester United hero Bryan Robson have sold out, we are pleased to announce.

Robson will be speaking in the 1861 Suite on Friday 10 November along with former team-mate Clayton Blackmore.

Doors will open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start and the evening will include a VIP two-course meal and a photo opportunity with one of England's best-ever captains.

Hailing from the North East, Robson began his professional career with West Bromwich Albion where he spent seven years.

His excellent form caught the eye of Manchester United and he joined the Red Devils for a then-British transfer record fee of £1.5m in 1981.

Robson went on to make almost 500 appearances for United in a 13-year spell, during which he etched his name in the record books as one of their best-ever captains.

The now-60-year-old represented England 90 times at senior level, captaining them for nine years. When he retired from international football, he was fifth on the list of all-time record appearance holders.

In addition to Captain Marvel reminiscing on his playing career, Robson's Manchester United team-mate Clayton Blackmore will also tell stories from his Old Trafford career after he previously had to cancel his sportsman's evening at One Call Stadium due to unforeseen circumstances.
