Travel guide: Colchester United

5 October 2017

We face Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday (07 October, 3.00pm kick-off), a ground which has a capacity of 10,105.

The stadium is located close to the dual carriageway and, therefore, there are few drinking and dining outlets in the vicinity of the ground.

However, The Stadium Bar, located inside the Weston Homes Community Stadium, will be open for both home and away fans.

If travelling by train, there are a number of pubs in the town centre, but The Norfolk Arms is the most popular amongst travelling supporters.

The train from Mansfield to Colchester takes around five hours, including four changes and will cost approximately £130. The only train after the match departs at 6.00pm and it will return to Mansfield at 11.43pm.

There is a shuttle bus from the train station to the stadium, which takes roughly 10 minutes and costs £2.50 per person. The drive to the stadium will take around three hours and the postcode is: CO4 5UP.

There are 600 parking spaces at the ground but these must be booked in advance by visiting www.colutickets.com.

The Stags Supporters' Association will be providing a coach to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

SSA provide family-friendly away travel to every first team match and you can join them!

Prices are as follows:
Amber/Junior members: £15
Blue members: £20
Non-members: £25

The coach will depart the One Call Stadium car park at 9.00am on the morning of the game. To secure your seat on the coach, please call the SSA's booking hotline on 07967 689597.

We have been allocated an initial allowance of 292 tickets for the fixture.
