Local comedy Skiffle band Kick 'n' Rush will be playing a hotly-anticipated gig in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar next week!
Taking place on Saturday 18 November, Kick 'n' Rush will take to the stage at 8.30pm to perform their Skiffle anthems!
Skiffle is a blend of folk music crossed with jazz and rock; it is happy and spontaneous and is often played on improvised instruments such as washboards!
This gave the working class a chance to start their own bands and indeed, Skiffle groups were formed in every town and village across Britain.
At the height of the craze, there were probably more people playing Skiffle music than listening to it!
Kick 'n' Rush are a four-piece band and they will be playing a FREE gig in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar.
