Schools invited to apply for visits by Stags' stars

Local schools are being invited to apply for visits by the club, which would see our first team players coaching their pupils fundamental football skills.

In a further bid to enhance community relations and improve local kids' participation in football, members of our first team squad will coach pupils for approximately 30-40 minutes before taking part in a question & answer session with the Stags' stars at their school.

The visits will supplement the excellent work by our Football in the Community department, who head out to schools on a daily basis.

Last year, defender Rhys Bennett and striker Danny Rose coached over 60 students at All Saints RC Academy in Mansfield before answering questions in the school's drama hall as part of a hugely successful visit.

The invitation is open to both primary and secondary schools in the county and demand is expected to be high.
