Midfielder Ben Whiteman has been voted as the Supporters’ Player of the Month for the second time in as many months, in a poll which took place on the Stags Wall.
The 20-year-old received 39 percent of the vote for February, ahead of defender Krystian Pearce and winger CJ Hamilton, who both received 12 percent.
The former Manchester United trainee has certainly made an impression with Stags’ fans since his arrival at One Call Stadium, scoring five goals in 11 appearances from midfield.
Whiteman scored our opening goal against Barnet at the start of February before following it up with an excellent brace against Hartlepool a week later.
Despite not finding the net since the 4-0 win over the Pools, Whiteman has been impressive in his performances and has been thwarted by a number of excellent saves by opposition goalkeepers in recent weeks.
