Academy manager John Dempster will take his young side to Rotherham United on Saturday (11am kick-off) as they go in search of their first victory of the New Year.
Last Saturday's home match against Hartlepool United was postponed due to adverse weather conditions after they drew 1-1 with Doncaster Rovers the week before.Â
Both goals in the home draw against Donny went down as own goals as a hard-fought clash ended all-square at the Worksop Van Hire Stadium.Â
Stags now sit just one point clear of second-placed Burton Albion in the EFL Youth Alliance and will be viewing Saturday's match against the Millers as the perfect opportunity to open up a gap at the top of the table.Â
The Millers are currently on a three-match unbeaten run and they drew with second-placed Burton in their last EFL Youth Alliance fixture.Â
They defeated Scunthorpe United and Bradford City prior to Christmas as they experienced an upturn in form following three consecutive defeats.Â
Academy manager Dempster has no new injury worries for the clash after winger Tom Marriott made his comeback from his long-term injury in the draw against Doncaster.
Supporters are welcome to attend the fixture and the address is as follows:Â
