Stags' fans have been voting on the Stags Wall over the last week and midfielder Jamie McGuire has emerged as the supporters' Player of the Month for December.
The 33-year-old midfielder made four starts during December and excelled in the defensive midfield role, especially during the 3-2 Checkatrade Trophy win over Carlisle United.ÂIt is the second time this season that McGuire has picked up the award after previously being voted as September's Player of the Month.Â
The former Fleetwood Town man received 31 percent of the vote, which has been taking place on the Stags Wall since last Wednesday.Â
Striker Matt Green finished second in the poll with 13 percent after he scored twice, against Carlisle and Doncaster, respectively.Â
Winger CJ Hamilton completed the top three after he received 12 percent of the overall vote following a number of improved performances.Â
