Midfielder Ben Whiteman has been voted as the supporters’ Player of the Month for January following an exceptional first six games for the club.
The vote has been taking place on the Stags Wall over the last week as supporters were given the tough task of singling out a star performer during a month in which Stags haven't tasted defeat in Sky Bet League Two.
Whiteman made his debut in the 1-0 victory over Blackpool at the beginning of the month and has since been ever-present in Sky Bet League Two.
The former Manchester United academy midfielder scored his first goal for the Stags with an excellent finish in the 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra before scoring the Stags’ opening goal against Leyton Orient in the last game of the month.
The vote took place over the period of a week on the Stags Wall. Thank you to everyone who voted.
