Skipper is featured in The Stag this Saturday!

14 December 2017

Supporters attending Saturday's game against Yeovil Town can read a feature-length interview with skipper Zander Diamond in our award-winning matchday magazine, The Stag.

The Stag is an 80-page publication packed full of interesting news and features, and can be purchased for just £3 at Saturday's match!

And the stand-out part of our publication is undoubtedly a five-page interview with 32-year-old Scotsman Zander Diamond.

The skipper has been forced to bide his time in a Stags' shirt after picking up a groin injury just three weeks into the Sky Bet League Two season.

However, after returning to action at the end of October, the summer acquisition from Northampton Town has excelled at the heart of the Stags' defence, keeping five clean sheets and scoring four goals.

In the big interview, Diamond speaks about his successful spell with former club Aberdeen, as well as the challenges posed by Sky Bet League Two. Turn to page 22 of The Stag to read more.

There's also four pages of news for supporters to absorb, with all the latest from One Call Stadium brought to you in one place!

Furthermore, academy manager John Dempster lauds his players' character after their penalty shootout defeat to Crystal Palace last week.

You can read the former Stags' skipper's thoughts on page 31, whilst Ladies' director of football Allan Woodfield reflects on a year of progress on page 37.

On page 40, supporters will find a FREE pull-out poster of captain Zander Diamond – the perfect addition to any bedroom wall!

Find out goalkeeper Conrad Logan's likes and dislikes in the Stags' A-Z on page 48, and two more supporters go head-to-head in Going For Gold on page 50.

Starting on page 53, there's a nine-page dossier on our visitors Yeovil, including seven little known facts about the Glovers in the The Lowdown on page 54.

Furthermore, supporters can delve into the archives with eight pages of historical content, including unseen photographs from yesteryear.

And don't forget – Stags' boss Steve Evans will be signing five copies of The Stag! If you are lucky enough to pick up a signed copy, you'll win two free tickets to our game against Morecambe next week! Simply take your signed edition to the ticket office and our staff will present you with the pair of tickets.

The Stag will cost £3 to purchase and can be bought from any of our mobile vendors, the ticket office or the merchandise stall outside the Sandy Pate Sports Bar on Saturday.
