Mansfield Town's under 18s will get their EFL Youth Alliance Cup campaign underway with an away tie against Burton Albion this Saturday (11.00am kick-off).
We have been drawn in a group with the Brewers, Walsall, Wrexham and Shrewsbury Town.
And our first match of the group will take place at Welbeck College on Saturday and John Dempster's men can expect a tough test waiting for them.
The Brewers were narrowly defeated 1-0 by a strong Oldham side in their only game of the season so far.
Our under 18s picked up their second victory of the campaign by defeating local rivals Notts County 2-1 last week.
Trailing 1-0 at half-time, our youngsters blew the Magpies away in the second half, with defender Lewis Gibbens grabbing a brace to secure a hard-fought victory and sent the Stags level on points with leaders Rotherham United.
The previous week, Stags again came from behind to secure a thrilling victory. Grimsby Town held the lead at the break after two first half goals, but a brace of penalties from midfielder Keaton Ward and an effort from defender Aiden Walker fired Stags to success.
This came after an opening day 1-1 draw with Chesterfield, Ward again bagging a penalty to secure a point for the Stags.
As Welbeck College is a Ministry of Defence site, spectators will not be permitted to attend this fixture.
