Travel guide: Crewe Alexandra

4 August 2017

Mansfield Town travel to Crewe Alexandra tomorrow in their opening match of the hotly anticipated 2017/18 season and this is your in-depth guide to the fixture.

Crewe play their home matches at the Alexandra Stadium, which was built in 1906 and holds 10,153 supporters.

Stags' fans can enjoy a pre-match drink in The Alexandra Suite, which can be found adjacent to the Whitby Morrison Stand, opens from 12.00pm and shows live football from BT and Sky Sports.

A selection of hot and cold food is also served inside, with vegetation options and pre-match alcoholic drinks available. The matchday programme is also available to purchase from behind the bar.

Both home and away supporters are welcome pre-match in the Alexandra Suite.

As well as inside the Alexandra Suite, there are many pubs within walking distance of the ground which are all away fan friendly.

The post-code for the Alexandra Stadium is CW2 6EB and it should take approximately one hour and 45 minutes from One Call Stadium.

There is a 564 space pay and display car park at the ground which costs £3.50, as well as limited street parking in the vicinity.

The Alexandra Stadium is just a five-minute walk from Crewe train station.

Once you arrive at the train station (you can see the ground), turn left out of the main entrance and walk down Nantwich Road and then turn down the second left onto Gresty Road. Then the ground is just a short walk further down this road.

Stags' fans can purchase tickets both in advance and on the day.

Our ticket office on Quarry Lane will be open until 4.00pm on Friday 04 August for supporters to purchase tickets either in person or via telephone (01623 482482).
