Travel guide: Accrington Stanley

17 August 2017

Mansfield Town travel to Lancashire to face Accrington Stanley on Saturday (19 August, 3.00pm kick-off) and this is all you need to know ahead of the trip.

Accrington Stanley play at the Wham Stadium, which has a capacity of 5,057.

Both home and away fans can grab a pre-match drink in the Accrington Stanley Sports Bar, which is located in the Blackrock EMI stand.

The bar overlooks the pitch and offers a selection of lager, cider and soft drinks. However, if you are looking for an away fans' only pub, The Whittakers Arms is situated 200 yards away from the ground.

The postcode for the Wham Stadium is BB5 5BX, a 217-mile round trip from One Call Stadium. Parking at the stadium is limited to 300 spaces, so the majority of away fans tend to park in a matchday parking field which is next to the stadium, priced at £2.

The closest train station to the Wham Stadium is Accrington which is a 20-minute walk away. However, the journey to Accrington from Mansfield station will be around four hours 40 minutes and, depending on which service you choose, could include up to five changes.

As usual, the Stags Supporters' Association will be travelling to Accrington and you can join them. The SSA provide family friendly away travel to every first team fixture throughout the season.

Prices are as follows:

Amber/Junior members: £10
Blue members: £15
Non-members: £20

The coach will depart the One Call Stadium car park at 10.15am on the morning of the game.

Stags have been allocated a total of 677 tickets for the trip to the Wham Stadium, 177 of which are seated and the other 500 standing.

Seated tickets are located in the Whinney Hill Stand and standing tickets will be situated behind the goal in the Coppice Terrace. Please note, the fixture will be ALL-TICKET for away supporters and no tickets will be available on the day in Lancashire.

Stags' fans can purchase tickets either in the Coppice Terrace (standing) or the Whinney Hill Stand (seating).

Prices for both stands are as follows:

Adults: £20
Concessions (64+): £15
Students (ID must be shown): £15
Under 18s: £15
Under 12s: £5

Supporters who require wheelchair access should call Jessica Fish at Accrington Stanley on 01254 356950.
