Watch the Champions League in our Sports Bar!

10 April 2017

The Champions League quarter finals get underway this week and you can watch it all unfold live in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar!

On MONDAY, Arsenal travel to relegation-threatened Crystal Palace as they hope to get their quest for the top four back on track.

Palace come into the game in good form with the defeat to Southampton in their last game ending a four-game winning run. The clash will be shown live on Sky Sports at 8.00pm at the Sandy Pate Sports Bar.

The Champions League returns this week at the quarter final stage and you can watch Juventus vs Barcelona live on TUESDAY from 7.45pm.

The clash between the Italians and the Catalans is a repeat of the 2015 final which Barcelona won 3-1.

Luis Enrqiue's side needed a spectacular comeback in the last round against PSG to progress, overturning a 4-0 first leg deficit to emerge 6-5 victors.

Juventus are unsurprisingly flying high in Serie A, holding a six-point gap over second placed Roma with eight wins out of their last ten games.

On WEDNESDAY champions of England Leicester City travel to Spain to take on Atletico Madrid in what will be undoubtedly their toughest challenge yet in their fairy tale run (7.45pm kick-off).

The Foxes have been rejuvenated under caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare and went on a superb six-game winning streak before their defeat on Sunday to Everton.

Atletico Madrid on the other hand haven’t had the success they would have hoped for in the league this season as they sit in fourth place, quite some way behind leaders Real Madrid and second-placed Barcelona.

Our weekly poker night also takes place on WEDNESDAY from 8.00pm. The buy-in is £5 and you could walk away with a tidy sum of cash!

The Europa League also returns this week on THURSDAY and you can watch Manchester United take on Anderlecht live from Belgium at 8.05pm.

United are heavy favourites to win the trophy and because of their recent struggles in the league, they may need to rely on success in the Europa League to qualify for next seasons Champions League.

Anderlecht currently sit top of the Belgian league ahead of Club Brugge and Gent.

On FRIDAY, there is a full line up of games from the Championship and there are two games for you to enjoy, in addition to commentary of the Stags' match away to Wycombe.

We'll be streaming full-match commentary of the clash from 2.50pm, courtesy of Stags PlayerHD.

Then all the attention turns to the top of the Championship as league leaders Brighton take on Wolves in the 5.00pm kick-off, followed by Newcastle v Leeds at 7.45pm.

We'll be opening at 8.00am on FRIDAY for breakfast cobs for supporters who wish to have something to eat before the trip to Wycombe Wanderers.

We’ll be serving food EVERY DAY this week in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar, between 12.00pm and 9.00pm. We’ll be open for breakfast from 9.00am on SATURDAY and we will also be open on EASTER SUNDAY from 12.00pm.

The Sandy Pate Sports Bar is located to the rear of the Ian Greaves Stand at One Call Stadium, with plenty of free parking.
