Mansfield Town's under 18s will be aiming to continue their superb league form when they travel to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday morning (11am).
After recording five wins and a draw from their opening six EFL Youth Alliance matches, John Dempster's side will be in high spirits when they take on eighth-placed Doncaster.ÂLast Saturday, our under 18s recorded a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Bradford City at Kirklington Road thanks to a brace from striker Ashanti Pryce and goals from striker Zayn Hakeem and winger Nyle Blake.
The clean sheet against the Bantams was incredibly the Stags' fifth of the season - Sam Wilson, the under 18s' goalkeeper, has conceded just one league goal all season, which came in the 3-1 victory over Grimsby Town a fortnight ago.Â
Saturday's hosts have suffered three consecutive defeats in the EFL Youth Alliance, with a 4-2 loss away to York City sandwiched between home defeats to Scunthorpe United and Oldham Athletic.Â
Rovers did, however, begin the campaign in brilliant fashion with back-to-back victories over Lincoln City and Grimsby Town - the latter being a fantastic 5-1 away victory.Â
