Q Block: Update

9 September 2016

The club can confirm that initial proposals to move some season ticket holders in Block Q of the Ian Greaves Upper Tier into other seats of the same block, has now been withdrawn.

Writing in tomorrow's match programme at home to Barnet, chairman and owner John Radford noted:

"Following previous communication sent to season ticket holders, whose seats are in the Q Block of Ian Greaves Upper Tier, I am pleased to confirm that the proposed relocation of some season ticket holders into other seats of the same block has now been repealed.

"It was our intention to use the far end of the Ian Greaves Upper Tier to host some of the smaller away followings, which would have meant that netting would have been placed in certain sections of Q Block for segregation. This would have saved the club money on stewarding costs.

"However, I fully understand supporters’ concerns and have always had an open ear to our fans’ feedback. I have listened to our fans and have acted accordingly."

Meanwhile in his programme column, the chairman announced that the Stags will head to Malta in the pre-season of 2017-18.

The chairman added that the squad will fly to the Mediterranean 'within the first two weeks of July.' Further details will be announced in due course.
