Ladies travel to Ruddington tonight

29 September 2016

Mansfield Town Ladies travel to Ruddington Village tonight (7.30pm kick-off) as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

The Stagettes followed up their 10-0 thrashing of local rivals Mansfield Hosiery Mills with an equally impressive 7-1 victory over title-competitors Bedworth United last week.

Forward Androulla Kokkinou was again the star against Bedworth as she continued her incredible goalscoring run with another four goals to add to her four goals against Hosiery Mills.

Striker Jemma Meakin, winger Monica Bowley and defender Emma Allen were also on the scoresheet against Bedworth as Tony Palmer's women cemented their position at the top of the league with 10 points.

Ruddington have endured a terrible start to their season, picking up zero points from their opening three games. They were defeated 4-0 by Mansfield Hosiery Mills before suffering back-to-back home defeats against Notts County Development and Rise Park Ladies following a 9-1 hammering at the hands of Northampton Town in the League Cup.

Supporters are permitted to watch the match, which kicks-off at 7.30pm, and the address is as follows:

Elms Park,
NG11 6NU
