Mansfield Town Ladies will face Mansfield Hosiery Mills on Sunday (2pm kick-off) as they look to react from their 3-2 defeat against Rise Park last week in the League Cup.
After picking up a win and a draw in their opening two fixtures against Notts County Development and Sheffield United Community, respectively, the Stagettes fell to their first defeat of the season to Rise Park.
Winger Monica Bowley and forward Androulla Kokkinou got on the scoresheet for Tony Palmer’s side, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Palmer from tasting his first defeat as Stagettes’ boss.
This weekend the Stagettes return to League action with the local derby against Hosiery Mills, who have won one and lost one of their opening two league fixtures.
Mills lost 2-0 to leaders Bedworth United on the opening day of the season before responding in style with a 6-0 hammering of Ruddington Village.
The Mansfield-based side were then defeated 4-1 in their opening League Cup tie by Riverside last Sunday.
Supporters wishing to watch the match can do so free of charge.
The match will kick-off at 2pm and the address is as follows:
