Ladies preview: Stagettes vs Sheffield United Community

7 September 2016

Fresh from their 2-1 victory over Notts County Development on Sunday, Tony Palmer's side face Sheffield United Community at Rainworth Miners Welfare tonight (7.30pm).

A brace from winger Monica Bowley secured an opening day victory over the Magpies as the Stagettes started their East Midlands Women's Regional Football League campaign in the perfect possible way.

Palmer's girls come up against a Sheffield United Community side tonight who began their season with a 4-3 victory over Nettleham Ladies on Sunday.

Ladies' director of football Allan Woodfield stated after the appointment of head coach Palmer that the aim was to win promotion within two seasons and the match against the Blades offers the Stagettes the perfect opportunity to steal an early march on their opponents, with only two other midweek games taking place.

Supporters are welcome to watch the Ladies in action this evening, and the match is free entry for all.

The address is as follows:

Rainworth Miners Welfare
