Stags' midfielder Jamie McGuire has been voted as the supporters' Player of the Month for September.
McGuire, 32, received 31 percent of the vote which has been taking place on the Stags Wall over the past few days.ÂThe Birkenhead-born midfielder played a pivotal role in the away draws against Hartlepool United and Accrington Stanley as he took up a defensive midfield position in front of the back four.Â
To be eligible for the award, players must have made at least two starts during the month.Â
McGuire, who is in his fourth season with the club, beat left-back Malvind Benning to the award, who came second with 16 percent of the vote, whilst captain Lee Collins came third with 14 percent.Â
