Stags' striker Adi Yussuf has travelled to a training camp with the Tanzanian national squad, but will be unable to play in any matches due to his suspension.
Manager Adam Murray revealed this morning that the former Oxford City man has joined his international team-mates in training for their upcoming international fixtures against Chad.
Murray said: “There’s an opportunity for him to see what it’s like; he'll join in with the lads, train with them and be involved in that environment. It’ll be a great experience for him - he’s come from non-league and he’s taken major steps over the last nine months.
“We’ve allowed him to go away and train. He can’t do anything with us, he obviously can’t play but he’s gone to get involved in their environment for the future. It’ll be a good learning curve for him.”
In other news, Stags' winger Reggie Lambe has been called up to the Bermuda squad for their forthcoming Caribbean Cup matches.
