Under 18s welcome Millers on Saturday

3 March 2016

Mansfield Town’s under 18s will be looking to bounce back from a rare defeat last week when they host Rotherham United on Saturday (11am kick-off).

After losing 1-0 against Burton Albion last weekend, the Stags will be hoping that they can get back to winning ways in the second of four consecutive home fixtures.

Rotherham will be looking to progress up the division as they attempt to steer themselves away from the lower half of the league.

The Millers will have revenge in their sights after John Dempster’s young Mansfield side won the first fixture between the two sides this season in Yorkshire.

On that day, striker Tyler Blake and midfielder Cain Smith got the goals for the Stags in a 2-1 victory in September, which maintained the Stags’ unbeaten run at the time.

Last week’s defeat was the first league match that Dempster’s side have lost at home in the Football League Youth Alliance all season, which is testament to the superb spirit that the youngsters have been able to create in the ranks.

The address for the game is as follows:

Clipstone FC
Worksop Van Hire Stadium
Clipstone Road East,
Clipstone Village,
Mansfield,
NG21 9AB
