Semi-final action at One Call Stadium for Stagettes

10 March 2016

Mansfield Town Ladies will be aiming to reach the Nottinghamshire County Cup final against Nottingham Forest’s Ladies at One Call Stadium on Sunday (12pm kick-off).

The Stagettes go into the semi-final tie in superb form and currently sit second in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League, nine points off top spot.

Nottingham Forest will be formidable opponents, however, as they lie in joint second in the FA Women’s Premier League, ten points behind first place with four games in hand.

In the last round, Lewis Saxby’s Stagettes beat Nottingham Forest’s Reserves 4-2 after extra-time, booking the opportunity to play the Reds’ first team.

Forest are in good form themselves – a mammoth 10-0 win over Clifton All Whites two weeks ago was one of the highlights of a high-scoring, eye-catching run which has also seen them overcome Morecambe, Preston North End and Swindon Town.

In Mansfield’s last game, they comfortably defeated Notts County Development 6-3 in Rainworth as a braces from Jess Machin and Monica Bowley were added to by debutant Georgia Herring and an own goal to ensure the win.

Supporters are reminded that admission to the game is FREE for all, and entry to the ground can be gained via the side gate next to the Ian Greaves Stand, closest to the Quarry Lane End.

The Sandy Pate Sports Bar will be open from 12pm to 9pm, whilst food will be served from 12noon until 7pm.

A tasty Sunday Roast is available to buy for as little as £5.95, which is the perfect meal after watching the Stagettes attempt to reach the cup final.

Parking is FREE for all attendees behind the Ian Greaves Stand at One Call Stadium.
