Mansfield Town

As part of the new FdSc Sports Science degree at Brooksby Melton College, an exciting opportunity to supplement your academic ability with practical experience is on offer. 

Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to work alongside Mansfield Town's academy squads, providing detailed performance analysis to coaches and players. 

This opportunity is designed to assist students who have a passion and interest in performance analysis to gain invaluable industry experience filming, coding, and analysing game footage to consequently enhance their employability upon completing the FdSc Sports Science degree programme. 

All applicants must apply to join the FdSc/Bsc (hons) Sports Science at Brooksby Melton College through the normal UCAS application. 

Filming Mansfield Town fixtures both at Brooksby Melton College (Wednesdays), and at Mansfield (Saturdays). There will also be the potential for away game travel.

Coding all fixtures using SportsCode Pro software.

Collating and analysing performance data across the course of the season, providing feedback to coaches and players on trends in performance.

Editing and distributing video analysis to coaches and players, along with uploading to the Brooksby Melton College Sport YouTube Channel.

Setting-up and helping to maintain the department’s filming equipment (SportsAV SportsMast and SportsCam Pro). Full training will be provided. 

Commitment, with a strong desire to learn and improve your knowledge and skills. 

A trustworthy and reliable personality. 

The ability to work on your own initiative and the confidence to be creative in your work.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

A passion for football.
