Stagettes aiming to bounce back

15 January 2016

Mansfield Town Ladies will be looking return to winning ways with victory away at Arnold Town Ladies on Sunday 17 January (2pm kick-off).

Lewis Saxby’s side were on the losing end of a 3-2 scoreline against Bedworth United last Sunday, with Androulla Kokkinou the stand-out player for the Stagettes after scoring two goals.

The Ladies remain third in the league, six points above Notts County in fourth place with their sights firmly on the upper echelons of the division, sitting five points off top spot.

Struggling Arnold Town Ladies are currently placed just three points above Grimsby Borough at the bottom of the division as they look to climb the league ladder and establish themselves as a mid-table outfit.

In their last fixture on December 20, Arnold ran out slender 1-0 winners over Rise Park Ladies. In their ten league encounters so far, Sunday’s hosts have conceded a mammoth 37 goals which is a stat that Saxby’s side will be looking to pounce on to pile on the misery.

The fixture for the Stagettes begins a run of games against teams in the lower half of the division and they will be looking to gain maximum points in their quest for top spot.

The address for the game is as follows:
Eagle Valley,
Oxton Road,
Arnold,
Nottingham,
NG5 8PS
