Former winger Johnny Miller has died, aged 65, the club are saddened to announce.
A popular player at Mansfield, he appeared over 100 times for the club between 1976 and 1980 and was part of the Third Division title winning team in 1976-77.Prior to his arrival at the Stags, Miller spent six years at Ipswich, his hometown club, before winning promotion to the First Division with Norwich City in 1976, amidst a two season spell.
He ended his professional football career at Port Vale and was a taxi driver in Mansfield in his later years.
Chairman John Radford said: "The club sends our sincere sympathies to Johnny's family at this sad time.
"The part in which he played during our promotion to the Second Division will never be forgotten."
