Former winger Johnny Miller has died, aged 65, the club are saddened to announce.A popular player at Mansfield, he appeared over 100 times for the club between 1976 and 1980 and was part of the Third Division title winning team in 1976-77.
Prior to his arrival at the Stags, Miller spent six years at Ipswich, his hometown club, before winning promotion to the First Division with Norwich City in 1976, amidst a two season spell.
He ended his professional football career at Port Vale and was a taxi driver in Mansfield in his later years.
Chairman John Radford said: "The club sends our sincere sympathies to Johnny's family at this sad time.
"The part in which he played during our promotion to the Second Division will never be forgotten."
