Striker scoops Player of the Month award

5 December 2016

Top scorer Matt Green has been voted as the supporters' Player of the Month for November in a poll which has been taking place on the Stags Wall.

The former Birmingham City frontman appeared in every game throughout November and played a vital role in Stags securing three wins during the month.

Although Green didn't score in the six November matches, he has played an influential role and has led the line with great maturity and know-how.

The Bath-born forward received 33 percent of the overall vote, whilst tenacious midfielder Jamie McGuire came second with 27 percent of the total votes.

Midfielder Chris Clements, who captained the side through much of the month in the absence of Lee Collins, came third in the poll after receiving 15 percent of the vote.

Clements scored three goals during November, hitting the winner in the Checkatrade Trophy group stage game against Derby County before proving to be the matchwinner against Crawley Town when he grabbed a brace.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the poll on the Stags Wall.
