Mansfield’s Town’s Ladies conclude their league season with an away trip to Nettleham Ladies this afternoon (2pm kick-off).
After reaching the East Midlands Women’s Football League Cup final in dramatic style by securing a 4-3 victory over Bedworth United on Wednesday, the Stagettes are back in action today in their final league game of the season.
Abbey Hawkins, Monica Bowley, Marie Wayne and Laura Watton were the scorers for Lewis Saxby’s side in their previous outing against Bedworth United to ensure a mouth-watering final against Long Eaton United.
In their last league match, Mansfield comfortably brushed aside Kettering Town Women with a 3-0 triumph thanks to a brace from Androulla Kokkinou, with Georgia Herring getting the other.
Nettleham will be in a confident mood coming into the contest after winning their last game 4-1 at home to Arnold Town, courtesy of goals from Stacey Aisthorpe and Michelle Marshall, while Holly Newman also grabbed a couple.
