Home is where the heart is for hard-working Beardsley

23 April 2016

Experienced striker Chris Beardsley speaks about his fondness for the club whilst he enjoys his third spell at One Call Stadium in today’s matchday programme ‘The Stag’.

The frontman is the subject of today’s feature interview in our matchday publication and there’s much more to read about!

Chairman John Radford reflects with pride on a ‘wonderful week’ for the club following the 5-0 demolition of Notts County followed by the incredible 3-2 victory over Exeter City in mid-week.

Manager Adam Murray also discusses the events of the past week whilst he challenges his players to remain unbeaten for the rest of the season. The 34-year-old boss is also in the hotseat for our ‘What If?’ questions.

Furthermore, supporters can read all about this afternoon’s opponents Barnet and Chad journalist John Lomas reminisces on the time he met former Olympic athlete Daley Thompson, among other famous names.

Seasoned journalist Tim Morriss profiles one of the club’s most well-remembered managers in the form of Stuart Watkiss, plus academy manager John Dempster reflects on a superb campaign for his under 18s side, who are in the running for the Football League Youth Alliance title.

There’s a look back at the Stagettes’ victory over Kettering Town Women, while another 'Exiled Fan' is in the spotlight to speak about his long journey to support the Stags, travelling from Hemel Hempstead.

The programme costs just £3 and is available to purchase from sellers around One Call Stadium, the ticket office or the merchandise stall next to the Sandy Pate Sports Bar.
