Stags' under 18s are looking to bounce back this weekend against Doncaster Rovers after being knocked out of the Football League Youth Alliance Cup by Shrewsbury Town last week.
Two first-half goals ensured the Stags slipped to their first defeat of the season to the Shrews but it’s back to league business this week as they make their fourth trip of the season to Yorkshire.
John Dempster’s side are still yet to lose in the league this season and last time out they defeated previously unbeaten side Bradford City 3-1, thanks to a brace by Alistair Smith and Surafel Behailu’s first goal of the campaign.
The game against Rovers will be another tough test for the young Stags as The Vikings currently stand just three points behind Dempster’s young guns in the Football League Youth Alliance North East table.Â
