Mansfield Town Ladies face another tough league fixture this Sunday as they come up against Rise Park Ladies at One Call Stadium.
The home side go into the game having already played the teams in first, third and fourth in the league as they sit second.Â
Rise Park on the other hand, who sit in 5th place, are level on points with the team above them, Ellistown, with a game in hand.Â
The Stagettes go into the game desperate to get all three points after picking up one point from the last two games despite putting on encouraging displays in both fixtures.Â
They were defeated 3-1 at home to Bedworth a fortnight ago and only came away with a draw last week against Long Eaton, after conceding an 88th minute penalty to finish the game 3-3.Â
Rise Park have had a strong start to their league campaign, picking up three wins and only being defeated once so far.Â
They started with a 4-1 away win against Arnold as well as victories against Kettering (1-0) and Grimsby (2-0). Their only defeat came at home to Ellistown WFC when the visitors emerged with a 5-2 victory.Â
