Saxby appointed as ladies’ manager

31 May 2015

Lewis Saxby has been appointed as ladies’ manager ahead of next season, the club is pleased to announce.

Saxby had previously been working in the men’s game as manager of local non-league clubs Teversal and Forest Town.

The 25-year-old, who was the interim manager of our ladies’ team last term, has targeted promotion next season, following relegation from the Women’s Premier League Midlands Division One.

On his appointment Saxby said:  “I am extremely pleased to be given the role and have a lot to offer.

"We can bounce straight back [to the Women's Premier League]. We have a lot of hard work to put in, on and off the pitch.

"One of our main objectives will be to keep our key players and also to bring in other quality new additions to build on what we have.

“Anything less than promotion next season will be considered a failure in my eyes.”

The ladies’ team will enter the East Midlands Counties league next season.
