Allen strikes to see off plucky students from Loughborough.

Our ladies team made it back-to-back wins in the FA Women’s Premier League as a second half strike from Emma Allen helped them to a 1-0 success over high-flying Loughborough Students at Kirklington Road this afternoon.

The midfielder pounced in the 55^th minute of the game to give the Stagettes maximum points for the second weekend running after their win over lowly Curzon Ashton last time out.

The Stagettes remain in 10^th position in the league table, but widen the gap over second-bottom Steel City Wanderers to nine points ahead of next weekend’s trip to second-placed Loughborough Foxes.
