Fans continuing to snap up Season Tickets ahead of new campaign.
Supporters are continuing to buy their Season Tickets in steady numbers and we are happy to announce that sales passed the 1,000 mark earlier today.
At lunchtime, Mr Ivor Marriott became the 1,000th person to snap up his ticket for 2015/16.
A supporter for over 50 years, Ivor sits in the Quarry Land End with a group of friends and is looking forward to what he hopes will be a successful season.
āIām certainly more optimistic this season,ā said Ivor. āItās mainly due to the players that weāve signed. Adam Murray has his own team now and I think there is a good mixture with young players, such as Jack Thomas, and experienced players who know this division.
āIf we get off to a good start that will set the tone. I think we might surprise one or two people, but most of us would be happy if we reached the play-offs.ā
Ivor has witnessed a lifetime of games since his first visit to One Call Stadium, which was for an FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough in the 1960s, and lists his favourite players as Chris Greenacre, Ray Clarke and Liam Lawrence.Ā
His favourite three moments are the West Ham United āgiant-killingā game in 1969, the victory at Wrexham which secured promotion to the second tier in 1977, and that magic night at Edgar Street two years ago when Matt Green scored in injury-time to put us on the brink of a return to the Football League.
