Right-back puts pen-to-paper on deal to stay at One Call Stadium in 2015/16, the club can now confirm.
We are pleased to announce that defender Liam Marsden has signed a new contract to remain at the club for the 2015/16 campaign.
The 20-year-old, who progressed through our youth system, made his professional debut against Torquay United at One Call Stadium back in April 2014.
He then went on to feature 13 times in the 2014/15 campaign.
Speaking shortly afterwards, boss Adam Murray said: “We’ve been waiting for Liam to come back off his holiday so that we could complete the paperwork.
“Liam is someone who has a superb attitude who didn’t get as much of an opportunity as we’d have liked him to have due to our situation last season, but we have great belief in him and he will be part of moving this football club forwards.”
Our manager added: “He fits into our culture and the football club matters to him, which is an important thing.”
