Our youth team continued their good recent form in the Football League Youth Alliance (North/East Division) as they picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with Lincoln City this morning.
The Stags opened the scoring when Tyler Blake headed home from Rory Thomson’s cross after just 11 minutes, but the Red Imps got back on level terms before the interval.
In the second half, our youngsters, who switched to a 4-4-2 formation, were the better team and had several chances to win the game with Anthony Dwyer and Dan Fletcher both going close on a couple of occasions.
Ultimately, it wasn’t to be a victory, but the Stags can still be proud of their good performance.
