Youngster Jack Thomas’ loan at Vanarama North outfit Hednesford Town has been extended by a further month. The 18-year-old has put in some impressive displays since arriving at Keys Park in December, and netted a fantastic half volley on Saturday to help the Pit Men to a 2-2 draw at Worcester City.
Hednesford currently sit in 6th position in the Vanarama Conference North table.
"He's absolutely flying," said Stags' manager Adam Murray. "We've had him watched a few times and I've been to see a couple of their games and he's taken to it like a duck to water.
"The manager at Hednesford is strict and demanding and his move there was done with the purpose of pushing Jack to new limits within men's football.
"Jack will play a part of the first team here at Mansfield Town at some point, it's about getting the timing right," he added.
