Winger keen to achieve more after agreeing move to One Call Stadium.
Winger Junior Brown says he is delighted to have signed a permanent deal with us following a successful loan spell, but is now aiming towards earning a longer-term deal in the summer.
The 24-year-old agreed terms on a six-month contract yesterday, having shone whilst on loan from Sky Bet League Two rivals Oxford United over then past month.
Brown won two âMan of the Matchâ awards in his two outings at One Call Stadium and was on the score-sheet in our Boxing Day draw with Hartlepool United.
Speaking at this morningâs press meeting, the winger said: âThis is something thatâs been ongoing for the past couple of weeks, but Iâm glad to get it all sorted. I can now get cracking on with the rest of the season and see where it takes us.
âIt was a difficult time I had at Oxford with a lack of games, which was why I was chomping at the bit to come here and get games under my belt.
âI think Iâve done quite well since I came here. Itâs been exciting, Iâve enjoyed every minute of it and Iâm hoping that it will continue.â
He added: â[My six-month deal] is going to keep me focussed and bring out the best in me. Iâve got something to aim for and hopefully I can keep putting in good performances until the end of the season.â
Three new players have joined our squad since the transfer window opened last weekend and with more new faces still expected to arrive, Brown hopes our team can begin to climb the table.
âWhen you bring people in you want them to be as good as, or if not better, than what youâve already got,â continued the wide man.
âTheyâve got to be able to help in some way, whether itâs vocally on the pitch, or in terms of what they know about the game or how long theyâve been in the game.
âObviously the players coming in have got quite a lot of experience so itâs going to provide a platform again for us to âkick onâ and help the younger lads in the dressing room improve, so it can only be to our advantage.â
