Youngster returns to Stags' fold ahead of trip to Lancashire | Elder's loan from leicester extended

Midfielder Jack Thomas has been recalled from his loan spell at Hednesford Town and is amongst Mansfield Town’s first team squad travelling to Morecambe tonight.

Meanwhile, full-back Callum Elder has extended his loan from Leicester City by a further month after impressing since he linked up with Adam Murray's men in early January.

Thomas, 18, has made eight appearances for Conference North outfit Hednesford, scoring one goal.

On Thomas' recall, manager Adam Murray told www.mansfieldtown.net: "We feel Jack has come a long way in his loan period at Hednesford.

"We have no worries about introducing Jack into the first team environment and with the injuries we have at the minute, the time is right to recall him."

Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill is out of action for a few weeks with a hamstring problem whilst Chris Clements is doubtful for tonight's match at Morecambe with an ankle problem.
