Stags take on Spireites in Youth Alliance today

18 February 2015

Youngsters meet old rivals as they seek to continue good form in Football League Youth Alliance.

Our youth team renew acquaintances with arch-rivals Chesterfield as they go head-to-head in the Football League Youth Alliance (North/East Division) this afternoon.

The Stags go into the match in tremendous form (and above the Spireites), having won six of their previous eight matches to hoist themselves up to fourth position in the FLYA table.

A victory could see them go as high as second position and close the gap on league leaders Hull City to just a single point.

The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw with Dan Fletcher on the score-sheet for the Stags.

Today’s game will be played at the Worksop Van Hire Stadium, Clipstone. Kick-Off is at 1.00pm. A snack bar serving hot and cold food, drinks and other light refreshments will be open for all supporters.

Other youth and development squad games this week are as follows:

Thursday: Collingham (H), H-K-L North Midlands League, 7.45pm – Worksop Van Hire Stadium.
Saturday: Rotherham United (a), Football League Youth Alliance, 11.00am – TBC.
