Mansfield Town’s players and staff lifted the spirits of sick children and their families in our annual Christmas visit to King’s Mill Hospital.
The players handed out a selection of gifts, which included selection boxes and signed memorabilia
"When I took the job [as manager, a year ago], I made a point of wanting to get our players into the community more.
"If you look at our community scheme just now, it is thriving tremendously, which is of big credit to Mark Hemingray (community director) and his staff.
"We do as much as we can to ensure our players are active in the community, such as visiting schools and hospitals.
"Some of the kids we have seen will spend Christmas in hospital, and it's important that we show that we care about the people of Mansfield."
