Teenagers agree loan moves

6 August 2015

Three of Mansfield Town’s young professionals have today agreed loan moves away from the club.

Left-sided player Conor Green, 18, and forward Dan Fletcher, 18, (pictured) have both agreed to join Evo-Stik side Carlton Town for two months whilst central midfielder Chris Spencer, 18, has moved to Vanarama National League North side Hednesford Town on a one-month deal.

Meanwhile, youth goalkeeper Adam Bishop has linked up with Loughborough.

Manager Adam Murray said: “It was always in our planning for these boys to go out on loan and gain some valuable game time, to experience the environment where three points are at stake.

“The moves will help the development of these players and it will be a step-up from youth/reserve football.”

He added: “This season, we won’t have a reserve team, and with a small squad we will arrange behind-closed-doors friendlies when needed as it is important to keep our younger players’ game-time topped up.”
