Goals by Blake and Fletcher see off York City in FLYA.
Our youth team recorded their first away win in the Football League Youth Alliance (North/East Division) with a 2-1 success at York City this morning.Talisman Dan Fletcher opened the scoring in the first half, before midfielder Tyler Blake double the lead after the re-start.
The lead looked reasonably comfortable until York grabbed a goal back with 30 seconds remaining, but our youngsters held on to record a well-deserved three points – and their second win in as many matches in this league.
John Ramshaw’s team will now be hoping to continue their excellent form when they host Chasetown in the FCYA (Midland Division) at Kirklington Road, Rainworth, in midweek.
Our next match in the FLYA (North/East Division) is away at high-flying Hull City on Saturday 11 October.
