Midfielder/assistant boss Adam Murray has moved to dismiss speculation linking him with the currently managerial vacancy at Conference North club Tamworth.

The Lambs, who recently dispensed with the services of Dale Belford, currently occupy 19th position in the division, having won just one of their first 10 matches this term.

“There’s no substance [behind the story] as far as I’m concerned,” said Murray. “It’s one of them things where [speculation] happens.

“As with anything in football, it’s always nice to be linked with things and people seeing that you’re doing a half-decent job at what you’re doing, but I’m more than happy here."

He added: “I’m very happy working alongside the gaffer [Paul Cox] and I feel that we’re moving forward at the minute.”
